Book Tranna Hill Tranna Hill Reviews
Coast to coast
The world famous walk passes very near to Tranna Hill and makes it a good location for an overnight stay between Shap and Kirkby Stephen.

Smardale Gill Nature Reserve
From Tranna Hill there is a very popular walk along the disused railway line to the magnificent Smardale Gill viaduct. There are longer circular walks over Smardale and Crosby Garrett fells.

Dales High Way
This relative new walk is proving very popular. After walking over the Howgills we are the only B&B actually on the route in Newbiggin-on-Lune.

Fishing
Tranna Hill overlooks Bessy Beck Trout Farm offering fly and bait fishing and a tea room.

Cycling
With the recently opened cycle way between Ravenstonedale and Newbiggin-on-Lune, cycling is a real pleasure around the area.

Golf
There is a short 9/18 hole course in Ravenstonedale open to visitors.

Settle to Carlisle Railway
Kirkby Stephen station is only a five minute drive away and makes a scenic day out.
